ACCREDITATION FOR CONTEMPORARY DESIGN AND PLANNING EDUCATION

Organization Executive Board (OYK) Establishment Principles: In accordance with the charter of the association, the Organization Executive Board determines the processes required for the evaluation and accreditation of the programs of the Accreditation Boards and their affiliated bodies and carries out these processes. Its structure, members, and working principles are determined by a regulation prepared by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Assembly. The Board of Directors elects the Organization's Executive Board to consist of two members representing each profession involved in the accreditation processes. These members cannot be included in the Accreditation Boards. The Board is chaired by the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors. OYK also acts as an objection complaint committee for all accreditation boards.

Establishment Principles of the Accreditation Board (AYK): Design and Planning Training Programs  Accreditation Boards Regulation Article 5- Following subparagraph ( a ), AYK; consists of seven (7) complete and seven (7) substitute members. Four (4) of the seven (7) permanent members are from the related professional field, among the academician designer or planner candidates working in the universities recommended by the Association Organization Executive Board (OYK), the other three (3) permanent members are selected by the Board of Directors of the relevant professional organizations. The Board of Directors determines it among the proposed candidates (3 Chamber Members or Honorary Members). Four (4) of the seven (7) substitute members are from the related professional field origin, among the academician designer or planner candidates working in the Universities established by OYK; the other three (3) substitute members are selected by the Board of Directors of the relevant professional organization_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ (3 Chamber Member or Honorary Member) is determined.

Establishment Principles of Program Evaluation Teams: Design and Planning Education Programs Accreditation Boards Regulation Article 9- Pursuant to subparagraph (a), AYK determines an evaluation team consisting of 5 people, one (1) Chairman and four (4) members to evaluate the relevant design or planning education programs. One (1) team member should be a representative from the relevant professional field accreditation board (AYK), and one member should be a representative determined by the board of directors of the relevant professional organization. The other three (3) members; The faculty member(s) who have at least ten years of experience in their work and work in a department that provides education in the relevant vocational field,  consists of a designer or planner and a student evaluator with at least 15 years of professional practice experience. There may be more than one assessment team for each profession.

 

Advisory Board Establishment Principles: Pursuant to Article 19 (1) of the Association's statute, the Advisory Board consists of two members to be determined by the Executive Board of the professional organizations, such as the Chairman, the Secretary-General, of the professional organizations operating in the field of design or planning, or two members each to be determined by the Board of Directors of these professional organizations. It consists of the President of the Association and two members of the Organization's Executive Board recommended by the Board of Directors.

 

Establishment Principles of the Supervisory Board: Association's charter consists of (3) three principals and (3) three substitute members elected by the General Assembly until the next General Assembly, pursuant to Article 16 (1). It is possible for the person whose term of office expires to be re-elected.

 

Education Commission Establishment Principles: The established principles of the Education Commission are determined by this directive. Accordingly, in the determination of the members of the Education Commissions, it consists of one person elected from the relevant AYK members representing the accreditation boards of each different professional discipline and one person selected from among the experienced evaluators who have worked in at least two program evaluations from each professional discipline. A person determined by the Board of Directors is included in the commission among the members of the Board of Directors. All members of the Education Commission are determined by the Board of Directors, with one of the members being the chairman. The term of office of the members of the Education Commission is two years, and the members whose term of office has expired can be re-appointed to the Education Commission. In case of resignation from the Education Committee member for any reason before the expiry of his term, the Board of Directors appoints a new member to the Education Commission, observing the principles in this article.

 

Quality and Continuous Improvement Commission Establishment Principles: The founding principles of the Quality and Continuous Improvement Commission have been determined by this directive is selected. All members of the Quality and Continuous Improvement Commission are determined by the Board of Directors, with one of the members being the chairman. In case of resignation from the Quality and Continuous Improvement Commission membership for any reason before the expiry of the mandate, a new member shall be appointed to the Board of Directors by observing the principles in this article.

 

Nomination Commission Establishment Principles: The Nomination Commission (ABK) carries out the studies to determine the new term member and vice president candidates, new program evaluator, and student evaluator candidates for each accreditation board. The Nomination Commission has five (5) members, and while these members are determined, the previous chairman of the relevant accreditation board who will preside over the ABK (this member for the first time, the relevant accreditation board, the president of the relevant accreditation board, the vice president of the relevant accreditation board, the relevant accreditation board). The member of the Board of Directors determined by the Board of Directors, and the member of the Organization Executive Board determined by the Organization Executive Board and providing the connection between the relevant accreditation board and the Organization Executive Board are determined. And the number of members from the public sector must be at least one person).

Consistency and Criteria Committee Establishment Principles: In accordance with the Principles and Procedures of the Consistency Committee, the Board of Directors establishes a Consistency and Criteria Committee to evaluate the suggestions for changes in the evaluation criteria submitted to it by the relevant accreditation boards and other channels and to carry out studies on this subject. This committee consists of a member of the Board of Directors to be determined by the Board of Directors, a member of the relevant Accreditation Board or an accreditation board member to be determined by the relevant Accreditation Board, a representative of TMMOB representing the profession of the relevant accreditation board, and an experienced evaluator to be determined by the relevant accreditation board responsible for it. The committee elects a chairman among its members. The Committee's communication with the TAPLAK Organization Executive Board (OYK) and the team heads is provided by the Committee Chairman. The term of office of the committee members is two (2) years.
